Macrame & woven wall art, handcrafted in Holywood, Northern Ireland
Welcome. My name is Niamh and I am the creator of Rocco & Rose.
After graduating from Belfast school of art with a degree in textile art and design, I started a family and moved out of the city. I now have my studio at home in Holywood Co Down, where my two young children are never far from my side.
Living by the coast, there is a strong influence of this throughout my work. Always on the look out for driftwood from our local beaches, they make the perfect start point whether it be for a large boho macrame piece or a macrame and woven landscape tapestry.
I aim to be as eco conscious as possible using natural/recycled yarns, plastic free packaging, thrifted beads and driftwood foraged off our local coast. There is always more to learn and do and I try to keep in touch with what is going on in the world around us.
Commision pieces are a large part of my work, creating the perfect hangings to suit and fit your home is such an honour and I am always excited for new exciting opportunities. I also create back drops for weddings and events. For more information get in touch via the site or email roccoandrosestudio@gmail.com .
Take a look at our instagram feed and blog to see projects and commissions we have completed to date or browse our shop for ready to hang pieces.
Macramé and weaving workshops are such a fun part of my Rocco & Rose life, I run these all across Northern Ireland. Keep a look out on across our social platforms for upcoming dates . Or get in touch to book your own private workshop/hen party/birthday class.
